The Katona Twins played in many major concert halls around the world, including the Carnegie Hall in New York, the Wigmore Hall and Royal Festival Hall in London, the Cologne, the Berlin Philharmonie, the Suntory Hall in Tokyo, the Tchaikovsky concert Hall in Moscow or the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. As classical soloists of the "Night of the Proms " they toured Europe in 2009 to over forty arenas and inspired a vast audience. They played with renowned soloists as Yo- Yo Ma and orchestras including the BBC Concert Orchestra, the London Sinfonietta and the North German Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra . The Katona Twins have won prizes in numerous international competitions in London, New York , France, Germany and Hungary.

The broad repertoire of the duo ranges from Bach over Piazzolla's tango to classics of pop music. The Katona Twins were winners of international Guitar and Music competitions and received numerous awards. Among others, they won the Concert Artists Guild Music Competition in New York, the Young Concert Artists Trust Music Competition in London and the guitar duo competition in Montelimar / France. They were scholars of the German City Kassel and received the prestigious Borletti Buitoni price. Her London debut concert at the Royal Festival Hall has been described by the Times as "irresistible"

They studied at the Budapest Conservatory, at the Music Academy in Kassel, at the Academy of Music in Frankfurt am Main (Germany) and at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where once Julian Bream and John Williams had lessons . For many years they teach at international master classes and since 2006 they are "Artists in Residence" in San Francisco. Peter Katona is professor of guitar at the Academy of Music in Frankfurt am Main. Born in Hungary, today the Katona Twins live in Liverpool, after a longer stay in Germany.
